Between the miles snaking from Florida to New York, out to California, Tim Briggs has made his journey through a variety of places and musical styles. These many influences have now converged into his own words and sound. Songs are a snapshot of the moment, and Tim gives us detailed pictures. “Another Day†lets us feel optimistic believing that love endures its bittersweet moments, while “15 Minutes†slams society for allowing forms of violence to be confused with political statement. Music is supposed to have an impact, and he is hoping his songs deliver the moment.
Growing up in Ohio, Tim opened for Petra as a teenager, then was invited to play guitar, mandolin, and fiddle for the group Alabama. He appeared with Alabama on television and award shows, and played with them on the Skynard Frynds Album. Off the road he always had his own band, but because of his Alabama association, was often accused of being “too rock for country,†and ‘too alternative for rock.†The songs you are hearing here are raw works in progress. Listening to Tim’s songs you get the feeling that music has finally caught up to him. You decide!
