Having a good time with my family and friends, music, especially good hip hop, watching or playing damn near any sport, good reading (books, mags, articles), being outdoors camping, fishing, hiking, doing the most i can to help out young people, keeping an eye on politics and trying to stay involved
anyone
like I said mostly hip hop these days but I can appreciate anything that is genuine and creative. independent hip hop has alot to say and that is why I love it. groups like the visionaries, dilated peeps, del, hieroglyphics, psycho realm, blackstar, and common are just some artists off the top of my head.
Motorcycle diaries, Friday, Next Friday, Rocky, The Godfather 1 and 2, Devil's advocate, Blow, He got Game, Casino, White Men Cant Jump(one of my all time favorites), Bowling for Columbine, The Doors, Scratch, Amores Perros, thats just some of the ones that I could think of right now. I'll add more as they come to me.
Don' watch too much T.V for reasons other than sports. I gotta see Kobe go off, so Laker games are a must, pro and college football.
Favorite has to be the Godfather, it's even better than the movie and the movie is the shit, Omerta, also by Mario Puzo, Jalamanta, Bless me ultima, and Albequerque by Rudy Anaya, Revolt of the Cochroach People was pretty good, To Kill a Mocking Bird, The Autobiography of Malcolm X. reading the odyssey right now
Definitely my dad tops this list, there arent too many people that I would consider heroes nowadays. Nelson Mandela comes to mind, Martin Luther King Jr., Che Guavara, for his ideals, Emiliano Zapata, the guy in Rawanda, I cant think of his name right now, but that guy is a fuckin hero and a half!! Pretty much anyone who is selfless and devoted to those in need, I know I left tons of everyday true heroes off but this list pretty much covers it for now, will you be on it some day???
