Keep Putting Your Heart On A Page

About Me

Biography: My songwriting is what started my "music". I HAD to play an instrument to put what was going on in my head into a song. I was the middle of 5 children growing up and the only one left handed. Learning to play guitar was a task, however, I had an older sister, Dyan, who took the time to teach me. Thank God for big sisters! I remember singing along with Michael Martin Murphy and Linda Ronstadt (Silver Blue and Prisoner in Disguise). Later on in my young life, I had the privilege of realizing JD Souther wrote for Linda and I was intrigued by his writing. Soon my only goal was to find the way to put my heart on a page like he did. Then turn it into a melody that was something I could remember easily (I had no tape recorder!). I have followed my dreams of being a songwriter throughout my lifes journey and now I have 2 boys who have allowed me to see life through their eyes - great writing material. So, life is moving forward and continues to be a constant adventure that I am thoroughly enjoying!
