Right then were do I start? I guess its back from the beginning in 1991, when I was 17 & known as a Mc, Mc Dee! (I thought I a lyricist..)LOL!! I was there at the start of the scene where I was into Hardcore & the big boy Jungle Techno and went raving all over the UK!! My influences had to come from big Dj’s and Producers such as, Fabio, Groove Rider, Dj SS, Ratty, Tongo, Micky Finn, Dj Rap, Mc Cee, Mc Man Paris, Mc Bassman, Mc Lenney Mc Robby Dee, Mc Spider, Beleave me the list is endless. I could go for ever…. I moved on from the scene and got onto which was know as then, Mellow (House & Garage)…
I taught myself on a pals decks (Dj Shutsy) then started to play at Telford Ice Rink. I had two 15 minutes sets playing Jungle on Speed Skating Sessions. I didn’t have a clue at the time on how to mix but I still carried on and slapped on my records and mc’ed all the way until I got my first pair of decks in 1999!!Lol. The journey continues to where I started my own night promoting Speed Garage & 2step on Thursday nights at O’Rilleys (Aston) then met up with the likes of Ric James, Clinton Shawe & Joe Hunt who helped me along the way with more nights such as Raunchy, Sun Daze, Sleep, Exstatic & Blume through out Birmingham…
You may know me from Birmingham’s hottest radio station SILK CITY!!!! This was an off chance and was invited by Joe Hunt to host his show which let onto getting my own slot on Thursdays nights back in 2002!! You know to listen to myself and Joe on the Recovery Session on Saturdays!!(Make sure u lock in!!)
Since then it’s been one big ride where I play in clubs over Birmingham, Sheffield & Leeds a few times played in Spain like Costa del Sol & even Bad Boy IBIZA!!
I’m now signed up with Record Labels producing my own beatz and soundz on Ecko, Rewind, Jump & Rainbow Recordings. Over the last 16 years from the start it’s been a dream come true and still continuing it!!! YA GET ME!!!!!!!!!!!
