I used to love listening to pirate stations like mix fm and my first experience of a speed garage club was a night called Fresh at Hemmingways. When I got my decks it took me a while to teach myself how to beatmatch, with a little help from my big bro! I first started djing out about October 2005, playing weekly at a bar in digbeth, b'ham. Back then it used to be a night called "Funky Fridays". Before then I had only played out a couple of times at parties etc. I also played a couple of Thursday nights at Forme bar in the arcadian. Since then I have played at many different events and clubs, including nights in Birmingham, Redditch, Walsall and also sunny Costa Del Sol! I am part of a promotion team which runs a weekly event (ironically at the bar I 1st started playing!) called After Eight. We have been running since about July and have had many sucessful nights. I collect a range of genres including speed garage classics, bassline house, electro, UKG, 2 step and abit of funky house. I have recently started producing tracks and currently have 3 tracks awaiting release. My latest 2 tracks have been remixes using original vocalists, including the popular "Platnum", who have had the massive releases "Over The Heatache" and "H2O, Whats It Gonna Be". I have lots of plans for 2007 so watch this space and watch out for the Marmite Productions!
**UPDATE** my first two releases are now out in all good record stores on yepyep records, with the third to be released in the next few weeks. I have also finished a new track with Kevlar + Sean Coy, using another original vocalist.
