Dusty grooves, Chicago: Tremendous stuff -- and an instant spiritual soul classic! The tune feels like it was lifted off of some obscure mid 70s Saturn Records release -- the soulful side of the Sun Ra spectrum, with all of its requisite sense of ancient power and glory. Blue Eyez sings the lead vocals beautifully -- a haunting lyric about growth and disapora -- and the music itself is a modally stepping mix of piano, bass, and drums. At points, the tune kicks up a bit for the dancefloor, but the core track is spiritual soul jazz at its best!"
