Born and raised in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, Anthony Toner released his debut album, ‘Eventually’, in 2002. Recorded at Clive Culbertson’s No Sweat studios in Coleraine, the album featured some hot studio players, veterans of Van Morrison, Ronan Keating and Mary Black tours and bands, and the album picked up steady airplay and some great reviews from radio pundits. Anthony is now working on album number two. The songs are some of the strongest he’s ever written, and the hope is that the album will be recorded during the spring, with an eye to an autumn launch. He's a steadily working musician, a guitarist and singer with various bands who play all kinds of music, from the country-rock of New Moon to the blues/swing of Yap Yap Yap. He is also a member of the Neil Young tribute band Heart of Gold, which was a hit with audiences across Ireland on its recent tour. He has also recently performed as a member of the Ronnie Greer blues band, on slide guitar and vocals, and was a part of the band for their recent appearances with acclaimed songwriter Whitey Johnson. Anthony also performs as a solo artist, and has appeared as support act for, among others, John Renbourn, Brian Kennedy, Niamh Kavanagh, Juliet Turner, Bert Jansch, Colin Reid and Frances Black.album
