Yorkshire lass Katie was born and bread in west Yorkshire, along with her 3 all singing all dancing sisters, Yorkshires answer to Del boy market trader dad martin and general super mum Lynn, and from the age of 3 started training in musical theatre and began to live and breathe performing. Katie then spent most of her youth combining her studies with helping out with the family business and a string of appearances in various theatrical and television projects leading her to embark on a long and loving career in the industry.Katie gained invaluable experience and grounding in the early years of her work, appearing with many stars including David Essex, Jim Davidson and Brian Connolly throughout the country including performing on ‘Sunday night live’ at the palladium, London. It was here she met pal John Catherol MD for London show band “souled out†and began to work with various top show bands at events and celebrity functions in and around London and started to spend most of her time on the road and literally living out of a bag!! She then joined “The cat pack†a 20-piece big band orchestra performing at theatres, jazz festivals and various corporate events supporting the likes of “chuck berry†and “little Richard†on their UK tours. She was then invited to join the cast of ‘Red hot country’ along side highly acclaimed steel guitar player Sarah Jory and began another tour and a new love for country rock.In November 2005 Katie began a permanent residency with a cast of 6 at Wicksteed parks pavilion theatre in Kettering Northants, where they perform to 400+ audiences daily in their musical hall variety show, performing her favourite genre of music swing and musical theatre pieces from the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s and absolutely loves every minute of it!Katie recently relocated to Brum to be with her man Stewart whale from Stagesound and since arriving has been working with some of Birmingham’s best, including the likes of lovely Dave Sailor, the man himself Matt Hoy, smooth operator saxophonist Joolz Gianni and not forgetting those lovely Krystalettes.On top of all this Katie continues to fill her diary with lots of varied work and is always on the look out for new and exiting projects. She lives life to the full, is crazy for live music and simply adores her job!!!..
