Dan Schnelle

70's Porn Star/Drummer

About Me

Dan Schnelle has been studying jazz since the age of 19. A New York native, he completed his secondary education at a private school while simultaneously studying the drums with Al Miller and Dom Famularo. Upon graduation, he found himself moving west to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California on scholarship as a Jazz Studies Major. While attending USC he had the opportunity to work with some of the best musicians in the world including Terri Lyne Carrington, Peter Erskine, Alan Pasqua, John Clayton, and Aaron Serfaty to name a few. He also was named the Louis Bellson Scholar by the time he was a junior at USC. After graduation, Dan was selected to participate in the Henry Mancini Institute summer program as one of only two drummers. Since then he has also been a finalist for the Thelonius Monk Institute of Jazz Performance Program. Although he has only been playing jazz for 5 years now, he maintains a busy performance and teaching schedule including tours with the Industrial Jazz Group, and many Los Angeles based performers.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
