Tori Amos, Amos Lee, Ben Webster, John Mayer, Christina Aguilera. I saw Steve Hass at The Baked Potato on Ventura/Cahuenga here in Studio City. He was playing with Russ Ferrante and the bass player from the Yellow Jackets and Dave Liebman. I couldn't take my eyes of him and his rhythm just went deep inside me. I loved his drumming. So I went to see him again with John Scofield and Mavis Staples at UCLA. I had no idea he was already a famous guy.The song you are now hearing is David Morgan. An artist I just discovered because he's in Steve Hass' list of recordings he had played on. I love this song. Can you feel that beat? Hearing Steve that night has now introduced me to a whole world of indie artists. This David Morgan CD is called Ordinary Glory. Go BUY IT! I am.
