About Me

I started life a Queenslander.. while it's been sometime since the great state has been my abode, my blood is red or maroon for want to use passion in my language..Try to incorporate that passion thing into most things I take on.. it can be a tough gig sometimes but worth the journey.I like organising things and getting involved in projects of benefit to many.. I guess if ya the same you're mentioned next.. I also like to write.Big fan of my family.. especially my little niece Hannah,, The smartest most gorgeous being about.. there's some pics - judge for yourself..I love my friends too.. there's already some great one's added and I'm glad it's documented on the WWW so that when we're senile by 38, it's all documented.. Love the few there now.. Always and forever.. always and forever...Yes, I love technology.. Mac specifically..You might get a bit more of an idea about me in the following descriptive bins..

My Interests

Primarily, saving the world.. Trying to find purpose in the things we need to do while having fun going about it.. Especially interested in good music, good people, good times... and seeking them out.. maybe I'll see ya round ;-)

I'd like to meet:

Cool people.. Anyone who wants to help make cool stuff happen.. Doesn't necessarily have to be limited to cyberspace people and vice versa.. If ya in my locale and can help in some way or just wanna meet up.. get in touch.

Music:

There's a world of amazing music out there and it's so much good goddamn fun finding new gems that strike a chord.. Locally, KillDevil Hills, Institut Polaire, Fall Electric, The Delta Forse..Just saw The Pixies tonight and feel especially priviledged.. I am parochial about Oz music.. Augie March are a particular cause of mine.. I urge you all to hear the earlier work in addition to the Moo.. GA solo stuff is yet another gem.. worth the $15 for Track 2 alone..Deloris.. I got pics on my handy.. German for mobile.. From the Hydey in the main.. apparently it's a room they like and didn't disappoint on the night.. broken strings and all.... There's also one from the Norfolk Basement Freo the night before.. great room.. cool speaker.. Check them out and let me know if you're a fan..I'll update with cool linky stuff to all bands at memory at a later date.. Bands, if ya like me, be my friend..

Movies:

The Big Lebowski.. for brevity sake, I'll say, if ya seen it.. you know what I'm talking about.. the Dude abides..Big Fish would have to be the most beautiful film ever made.. Big favourite!!!Napolean Dynamite.. Whatever the goddamn hell i want.. geecszh.. I caught you a delicious bass.. genius..247 was well done on a budget and I salute it's crew for the determination and sincerity it conveyed..Hard Candy.. thanks Cath...Borat.. Very nice.. High Five!!!Hot Fuzz... Genius!!!!!!I gotta admit, it does take some patience for me to sit and engage in film these days.. I don't wanna sound cynical but I can get disppointed sitting for two hours and feeling let down at the end.. I applaud great film making and will endeavour to support said art..I even hope to create my own to get across a story or two like the very talented Rachael in my friends.. watch this myspace....

Television:

Simpsons; Futurama; Family Guy; Drawn Together;Do ya get the idea I like cartoons..Dug a few things in my time..Wildside stands out as the only crime drama I ever got hooked on.. Abi Tucker, what a fox! Secret Life was good for a while but Iused to live with a film student back then and watched a lot morev tv.. Seem to still keep a watch over news and current affairs but it is becoming a less credible source...Wilfred is big on the favourites right now!!!!! SBS Moday at 1000.. watch it! Obscure as fuck and I love it! Goes to eleven....Big Train and Late Show for a note of nostalgia.. speaking of which - contact me if you have anything related to Now You see it or Mysterious Lost Cities of Gold..

Books:

Used to read extensively.. thumbing at the moment and will report back anything of significance

Heroes:

Alfie Langer got me playing footy.. Matthew Hayden is the ultimate champion.. Wally Lewis is The King!!!Shit Glenn Richards can write songs.. guess he gets a guernsey for that..Salvadore Dali for no other reason than a quote I heard the other day.. "I don't do drugs.. I am drugs."Right now I take heart from the everyday heroes.. yeah, cliche I know.. but if ya take a look around and pitch an effort where it's needed, you're a hero.. Do it people, it does make a difference....
