The story of Treasure of the Templars started in the fall of 2003. Ken Gawne, Daniel Riser, and Josh Edwards met in California for the first time. What began as a fun idea to make a short film one day grew into the feature film project "Treasure of the Templars". That short, made in a weekend film, then became a large scale short project. Without the drive of Ken Gawne Templars may never have happened. Ken, who stars as our hero is also one of the producers. His work was one of the great driving forces behind Templars. Jonathan Lawrence was asked to direct the project and began production on the opening adventure of Templars. More people were asked to join the crew. Paul Denton came aboard as production designer and prop master. Lauren Henline joined as the costume designer. As the project progressed in 2004 into 2005 the decision was made to make a feature film. Enter the summer of 2005. A cast and crew from two continents gathered in Dundee, Scotland to begin principle photography. Six weeks were spent in Scotland where the cast and crew lived the production. Shooting locations included the Scottish High lands, St. Andrews, as well as Dundee. On July 9th, 2005 the cast and crew parted ways but not for long. Additional shooting was later done in the US to be added to earlier segments. After Daniel Riser, producer, editor, actor, began editing the rough cut. That rough cut was later handed over to Jonathan Lawrence and an additional editor. Currently, Templars is in the final stages of editing. CGI shots are being completed and score is being written.
