I am here for Networking

About Me

I am a 55 year old who lives in western North Carolina. I am here for networking and friends. I live in Polk County, NC, one of the top ten places to live in rural America, according to Progressive Farmer, March 2007. I serve on the Polk County, NC Planning Board and serve as their liason to the Economic Development Committee. I am also a medical cannabis patient fighting for my right to save my health. I was born with an inherited liver disorder that makes me allergic or sensitive to everything from Kool-Aid to alcohol and tylenol and aspirin to morphine. I also suffer with two different types of severe arthritis, muscle spasms, chronic intractable pain and digestive problems. Cannabis is the only medicine I can take safely and effecively for all my disorders and still live any kind of quality of life. I will not give up until my Creator's medicine is legal for me to use.

My Interests

My interests are human and civil rights, nature and environmental protection, preserving our farmland and natural green-space, keeping our waterways and airways clean and trying to bring about peace and equality.

I'd like to meet:

People who Truly believe in the fundamental principles our government was founded upon. People who aren't afraid to stand up for what they believe in and people who believe in compassion and natural healing.

Music:

I enjoy some of all types of music.

Movies:

I like good action thrillers and mysteries the best, I think. I enjoy a good comedy, I like a good fantasy such as "The Lord of the Rings". I like good wholesale family and animal movies and a truly good tear-jerker at times.

Books:

I love mysteries and thrillers; good, old-fashioned nostalgia tales; and books written by women that make you laugh at yourself. I like books that make you think and expand your mind & search for answers and what you really think. Books can take you anywhere and let you experience many things you could never experience otherwise.

Heroes:

My heroes are too numerous to list. Let's just say I admire great thinkers, justice-seekers, the caring & compassionate, indepedent-minded individuals & those who fight for equality and freedom.

Summertime!

Summertime is right around the corner. The summer solstice is June 21st. While we are out and about enjoying the good ole summertime, let's remember to try and manifest "peace" everywhere we go. Let's...
