The influential fusion of international beats has evolved BAEZ to pursue his innate passion for electronic music from the core of its underground rhythms to the artist he is today. Born in 82’ in New Jersey, United States and raised in Dominican Republic, BAEZ has earned a local reputation as one of the up and coming “diverse” DJ’s in South Florida. Bringing sounds from the european underground scene, he blends in different melodies from various genres within the electronic music.
His influence came from an early stage of his life while living in Dom. Rep. Being a faithful fan of various pop rock bands such as Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, INXS and Front 242, the foundation of what electronic music is today, he began to understand and compliment his music knowledge.
At the age of 18, now living in Miami, FL, he began to study music production software’s and understood the art of creating “Digital Music”. Elástika, being one of the first attempts of producing music, was later picked up by a local record label in 2001, DMT3 (www.dmt3.com). Shortly after, “This is my House” & “Technika Sonica” were also picked up by mentioned label.
For BAEZ settling for less was never an option. He was then fascinated by the art of mixing. With a lot of enthusiasm and plenty of ambition, he dedicated his free time studying what other Dj’s did to motivate him to be what he is today. In June 2005 he was invited to play at the local internet radio station womb.tv alongside Dj Cell. He was then invited to play with local Dj’s Parantula at Nikki Beach & with Juan E at Cafeteria.
