A new beginning

About Me

Force Majure (AKA DJ Levi) started taking an interest in music when electro hit the UK in approximately 1984, from there a passion for Hip-hop began. At an early age he would save up to buy record players from charity shops and convert them into simple turntables and try to learn how to mix.As 1992 came around DJ Levi got his first pair of turntables and a mixer while at university in London, this enabled him to perfect his art, soon after he started playing small parties in and around London and St Albans. Not long after he left University and moved back to the West Country, by this time word had spread about his skills as a DJ and was given bigger venues to play and head line slots at various clubs and out door events.A chance encounter in 1994 with the owner of Jungle Fever broke him into warm up slots for some of the UK's biggest DJ's at their events, soon after time in a studio was an obvious next step. The first of the two tracks that were written on his first studio session was signed to a subsidiary of Basement Records called Spotlight. The record was a hit and reached number 4 in the DJ Magazine top 10 and had airplay on Radio 1 and Kiss FM.As further DJ spots from the UK to Cafe mambo Ibiza came in, Levi then focussed on more time in the studio after meeting Q Project at the legendary Fruit Club. Q Project engineered several tracks for Levi however nothing came from the output apart from the urge to set up his own studioAfter two years writing music Levi took a break from music and started to DJ and produce less as a successful career in IT was taking off and demanded most of his time. Some 8 years after his last studio sessions, he is back with a new track called "Seven" although unsigned at the moment, Levi, now known under his production name of Force Majure is keen to listen, learn and look to he future of where his music takes him.
