This fall, BioSTOP (Simple Technologies Offering Promise) and Snake Bite Productions are bringing climate change education to West Coast classrooms through youth’s coolest medium – extreme water sports. Traveling from school assembly to school assembly in a biodiesel vehicle, the 2007 BioSTOP tour will educate youth about global warming, showing small personal choices and lifestyle changes that can help. Our goal is to inspire youth to make a difference and appreciate their favorite water playgrounds. At the end of the educational tour, we will create a first of its kind eco-sports documentary showing the tour, promoting wavesport athletes, and educating viewers about climate change and alternative energy.
