Born in the particularly roguish autumn of 2006 in the capital city of North Carolina, Darker Brighter is the new band of Mr. Lincoln Hancock. Mr. Hancock is fairly well-known about the area as a capable bass player and steadfast musical associate. Darker Brighter is his first coherent effort at leading the songwriting charge.

The Darker Brighter recordings on this page and on the new vinyl-only single "Hank" feature the inimitable drumming of Mr. Brian Donohoe (Strange, Shadow of a Great Name). All guitars, basses, and vocals are courtesy of Mr. Hancock. A full-length CD is in the works.
