My name is Macke Bergkvist, and I'm a Music Supervisor based in Stockholm, Sweden.
I work with placing music in all sorts of film: ads, TV drama, feature film, etc.
My job is to find the right mood, genre, style, track or composer to work with. And then to take care of the solution: whether it's sourcing music, making music, etc.
Recently I've placed music by artists such as Velvet Underground, David Bowie, Billie Holiday, Kelley Stoltz, Leo Sayer, Tunng, Otis Redding, Nouvelle Vague, Chet Baker, Shawn Lee's Ping Pong Orchestra, Jacques Brel, Gustav Mahler, etc.
I work daily with my excellent RIVIERA composers and colleagues: Adam Nordén, Jean-Paul Wall and Max Linder.
But I work with freelance artists as well. Recently I've worked with for instance the very talented Nina Kinert, Miss Li, Tingsek, with Niko Röhlcke and Magnus Carlsson from Weeping Willows, and many more.
I mainly work in Scandinavia. But I also do work in UK, USA, etc. And in those cases, my main angle is promoting independent Scandinavian music and Scandinavian artists.
