Greetings all

About Me

I am a pretty sane chick, all things considered (but don't ask Dave, he's likely to disagree with that statement). I love my family, and hangin' out with my cool friends. Enjoy talking about our crazy mixed up world and care deeply about our planet and people being good to one another. I am what some insecure folks might call a lactivist. BREASTFEEDING IS THE COOLEST...MAMMALS ROCK...My kids give me great joy and small ulcers. I wouldn't change much about my life, and for that I am eternally grateful. Speaking of grateful, I'm also a bit of a deadhead (if you can be a bit of one that is) Always seeking happiness and that blessed (damned?) thing call inner peace...

My Interests

Women's and children's health, especially breastfeeding and violent free birth along with world stability and the odd game of boggle

I'd like to meet:

A real Druid or a Saint or maybe a ghost...barring that, I will settle for some like-minded folks who do good things and can be hopeful about the future. MUST LOVE WINE

Music:

I'll admit it, I am a deadhead...but if it took even a bit of soul to create it, I'll listen to it. From Chopin, Beck and Joan Osbourne, to the Beatles (I really love the Beatles) RHCPs and Django...the list goes on and on and on...

Movies:

I have seen so many great ones, it's too bad that the crappy ones stick in my memory so long. I have enjoyed everything from Sleuth, Natural Born Killers, Me Myself and I, and just about anything with that crazy old whacko Bing Crosby in it to the The Wizard of Oz and Apocalypse Now (to name but a few).

Television:

yah, I watch TV...and probably too much of it... but maybe TV makes you smrterr???

Books:

A great one most recently was 'The Birth House' by Amy McKay. That was a great read, thanks Rachel !

Heroes:

Global Peacemakers, Midwives, good parents and folks who cook and share great food
