Jeff Buckley's music was brought to life once again in the most memorable way The Village venue in Dublin on Friday June 1.
A very special guest, Mary Guibert, sent her best wishes and appreciation to the audience and performers on the night. It was a great honour to have her there, on a screen (but there!), joining us to remember the beauty and inspiration that was every song he wrote, or loved and borrowed to perform in his own way.
Some very talented and inspired people performed his songs, as he did with classics by legends such as Ninah Simone, Van Morrison, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, to name but a few, in their own unique and magnificent way.
Footage will be up online soon, along with more pics, and also the opportunity to buy the large promotional poster for the event, with your own name on it!

Thanks to all involved on the night, as mentioned below, and also to Anthony, Nicola, Maria, Nuala, John and Barry (posters), Mary Guibert....everyone else involved.
Profits go towards supporting The Niall Mellon Township Trust, where 1250 Irish men and women will this year go to South Africa, to BUILD houses, but basically a neighbourhood, for people who've never known a home outside a corrugated iron shack!
We are helping to send one of ours over to put his electrical handywork to good use!
The Jeff Buckley tribute gig that took place in The Village on Friday June 1, was a huge success. Thanks to everyone involved, and all those lovely JB fans who came along to join us as we paid our respects through song! The musicians were top, and the audience were so class, couldn't have asked for a better night, and I'm sure Jeff Buckley would have been so impressed with the way all those talented lovelies performed his masterpiece songs! Cheers everyone!
We managed to raise quite a substantial amount to go towards sending an Oyrishman over to Africa on behalf of The Niall Mellon Township Trust, where he will lend a hand in building houses for people who've only known shacks to be homes! This will happen in November 2007, he will be joining over 1000 other brilliant fundraisers and 'doers' from Ireland.Thanks to the audience, jeffbuckley.com (for all their amazing support-thanks Jack!), and of course, the ones that brought Jeff's music to life again, if just for one night..James O Toole and band, Stephen Ellis, Gabby Young, Rebecca Howles, Vijay Kishore, Rob Walsh, Trea Breazeale, Dave Griffin, Rainchair, Page 27 Music, Ant (for presenting magnificence), Mary Guibert (for her 'appearance.' the fabulous sound and visuals guys (you legends!), and The Village. And a mucho thank you to the two very nice photographers who made us all look like superstars made of gold, Ryan Cronin-Neilan, and Paul (have yet to get surname). Paul sent us in the photo's on the left and we will be posting up Ryan's asap! Cheers everyone.
