In an Oversized nutshell:-
I discovered my love for Hardcore back in 1995 (when it was good), i had purchased my first ever tape pack (Dance Paradise) and i buzzed solid off EVERY tape. Especially the Clarkee and Brisk tapes. I knew that this was more than love, it was more of a dirty seedy lust, even a passion.

Fast Forward 4 Years:-
When i was younger i always wanted to be a DJ. I didnt know what music id want to actually play, as long as i rocked the dancefloor! After being in love with all sorts of Hardcore (music, magazines and films haha) i found myself getting tired of the same old anthems being bashed by every buggar, so i saved up moneys from my weekend job at Ride-A-Bike (cycle shop not a w***e house), and eventually had enough to get some wanky Sound Lab belt drives! I loved them! My mums mate, who was a Trance DJ at the time, lent me a massive handful of tunes and, whether i liked em or not, i attempted to mix them. This not only broadened my mind on what other music was out there, but also learnt the art of mixing. I remember yelling my mum upstairs when i finally pulled off 2 mixes, Nelly The Elephant into Atb - Till i come, followed by Ian M - The Dreamer!! I was loving it and so was me mam, hahaha! From there on my vinyl addiction grew...................
Spending every and any penny on tunes i had soon built up a huge collection of Gabber & Speedcore. I loved the harder side of music back then....it was just soooooo........ORIGINAL! I then realised i had to save up for Technics if i was going to be serious about DJing. So save i did. Working whenever i could. After school, weekends and doing shitty odd jobs for neighbours and family members!

FINALLY...
In the summer of 2002 i had enough money to get the lovely wheels of steel i had only dreamed of countless nights before! We saw an Advertisement in the paper that a bloke was selling some Technics 1210's in Hartlepool for fairly cheap so my mother dear made the mission with me to get them!
STYLES:-
once getting the hang of mixing on a descent set of decks i had realised that the music i played (Gabber & Speedcore & DnB) wasnt actually entertaining the crowds in anyway(unfortunatly). So i turned to Bouncy Techno, which was such an intelligent move it was unbelievable. I made a few tapes and sent them around, unfortunatly the bigger boys doing gigs in Barton wouldnt give me a chance, although i was more than compitent enough to pull off an hours mix! It wasnt till March 2003 when a friend of my sister (Matty D) said he was going to put on a little shindig in a nearby village and wanted me to play!
RENEGADE:-
After playing at Matty's first night he asked me to help him out run the event because i had help get so many people there! So over the next 3 years Matty & Myself would turn Renegade from a little event for locals to an event that attracted people from Lincoln, Nottingham, Doncaster, Sheffield...all to lovely Barton Upon Humber, Goxhill, Ulceby and Caistor. I loved running the event with matty, and meeting new people and DJs & MCs id looked up to all this time! It wasnt until March of 2006 i decided to leave the running of Renegade solely to Matty. There was some speculation over my decision to do this as many people thought Matty and i had a lovers tiff, but we never did! I had run into a few money troubles and was dealing with some w**k arse problems at home, amongst other things i had way tooooooooo much on this little plate of mine!
BACK TO CONCENTRATING ON ME:-
My decision to leave Renegade had given me a hell of alot more time to concentrate on my own DJing career and to get into Producing Music properly!
TripleXL ... The Producer:-
I wanted to learn production for one reason, to make GOOD FUN music! I wanted to cover all genre's of music but especially Bouncy Techno, Makina & Gabber. I had taken me roughly 8months to slap together my first 2 tune tunes, Stab Ya Hoover & My Arse Is Hungry For Love, and, to my disbelief and amazement, these were played out at events across the country by DJs such as Martin Space, Paul-O & Smash. I thought to myself, this is FANTASTIC. I had never thought anybody would like anything i made and would probably put my tunes down to a "learning curve", which i suppose from my point of view it was.
After succeeding in getting the Bouncy Techno sound just how i liked it, i took what i had learnt making that and moved onto learning my predomenant genre...Makina!
In April 2007, After about a year, my first full Makina tune was signed to a UK based "Makina" label, Force 10. Finally it was a dream come true i didnt think things could get any better, but then followed 2 more of my makina productions, Accelerated(made especially for Force 10 & the North East crowd) & HyperVibe anthem(made for one of the best new events in north lincs & a truly awesome crowd)

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: djtriplexl.co.uk - Coming Soon!!
Band Members: Me, Myself and I!!!!
Influences: DJs
Paul-O - Fantastic tune selection, was always one to think "outside the box". Had the balls to play some pretty outrageous stuff. I can safely say that Paul has been the biggest influence to me over the years.
Pastis & Beunri - Introduced my little ears to a "new" way of mixing. Brilliant pair of DJs.
Producers
The list of producers that have really inspired me over the years could go on forever......well......almost. But the guys that have really made an impact on the way i play, make and think about music are:-
Patrick van Kerckhoven - Ruffneck, Ruffex, Enzyme...NUFF SAID!! A genious of a producer and his sound was and always will be, way before his time!
MORE TO BE ADDED SOON!!!!!!
Sounds Like: A fart in a can.
