About Me

This is a site for performance dates and blog for the micro radio project.

When travelling to perform in other cities I bring prerecorded field recordings, microphones, a minidisc recorder, my laptop and a tiny radio transmitter. The result is a performance that consists of a live mix of my collection of field recordings ... manipulations of my voice and wind instruments... and any spontaneous field recordings that are made while travelling.

I am interested in venues that support the transmission arts such as - festivals, galleries, community radio and streamed radio.

Influences: Using radio to disseminate sound collage makes nod to the history of radio as a tool for the development of experimental sound art; giving an alternative use for a medium that is largely used for commercial media is also a Situationist technique detournement , in which a familiar medium is repurposed to create something new.
