Mission Statement
Is confusion the only thing you get out of your classes? Most of the time, a poor grade in the entire class is a result of not understanding a single concept. Hi. My name is Alex. With over 7 years and 4000 hours of experience tutoring students of all ages and academic abilities, I am confident we can work together to ensure your academic success! I am NTA certified as a Professional tutor with a BS and BA from the University of Connecticut. How I Tutor and What I Offer
My tutoring philosophy focuses on short-term goals and long-term goals. With respect to short-term goals, I teach the practical aspects of the subject: 1) making sure you pass your exams; and 2) discovering how you will apply this information in your future career. We'll get to the bottom of your academic troubles by addressing, confronting, and (ultimately) strengthening your areas of weak academic performance. With respect to long-term goals, I wish to instill wisdom to students so that they may become wise, mature, respectful, and (most importantly) happy adults. Along with tutoring, I offer the following:
- Free Tutoring via my Myspace Blogs
- Individualized Lesson Plans
- Detailed Student Progress Reports
- Test and Note Taking Strategies
- Power Point Presentations
- Access to Academic Journals
- Tips to Finance your Education
- And even Educational Board Games! Whom I Tutor
I tutor students from all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds: grade school students, high schoolers, teachers, businessmen, mothers, college students, etc. Below is a demographic showing the percentage of student cliente tutored by educational level. For instances, 16.8% of students I tutored came from 100 Level college courses. I tutor in Connecticut. Usually, I tutor in Branford, Connecticut. Math tutor available. Science tutor available. My Interests

Check Blogs for Lessons - You can either check out my Blogspot blogs or check them out here on my profile. I usually post lessons that give students the most trouble. So if you're a little rusty, check them out. It's easy and quick information that is sometimes difficult to find anywhere else. Below is an example made from photobucket! Though I don't agree with all of it, I can relate to it and its message can be valuable, particularly to those upcoming college students.

And on a lighter note...!

Check out my blog about SN1 and SN2 reactions for more information!

I was a poor English student. It took a lot of work and writing in order to become a proficient writer. I first had to learn grammar. Now, I am a writing tutor and a grammar tutor, creative writing tutor, poetry tutor, philosophy tutor. Standardized Exams were not my thing in high school. However, I am able to tutor SAT, SAT I, SAT II, and GRE. On request, I can be an MCAT tutor. I am a Branford Tutor, New Haven Tutor, and a College tutor. Thus, I am a Connecticut tutor
