Albert Marquès, December 20th, 1978, Barcelona. I play guitar since the age of 12. I started to play the guitar with friends and continue learning thanks to other musicians and lots of practice. I was playing in my first Pop-Rock band called "Drums" from 1994 till 1996, when I was hired by "Ostrich Land", a Hard Rock band, until the end of their project in 1999. Than I joined a Rock-Punk band called "Náusea", and after their dissolution in 2000, I started my solo career with "Marquès y los niños de la plaza", leaving behind me a phase and was overtook by Urban Rock, combining audacious guitars and powerful lyrics. My first album "Todo Llega" (Everything comes) was recorded and edited in 2001. After the tour of this album I closed myself in the studio in order to create other projects. Among them, the adventure of "Triskel" was started; radically changing style and sounds, and I took my time to explore new ways and to improve my technique. The influence of other musicians like Satriani, Jason Becker, Steve Vai, etc. conducted me towards Progressive Rock and Metal, with Arabic tendencies. During that time I set up my own studio at home, to be able to work peacefully and with no hurry. I started to record new themes and experiment with new melodies. In the years 2004-2005 I studied sound technology at the Casa d'Oficis Musicals, Barcelona Activa S.A. and nowadays I teach guitar at the OSCUS de Barcelona School. In 2007 I finished recording the first demo of Triskel, "Sailing by the desert". At the moment I'm working on the second demo, “The interpretation of the dreams“, and at the same time executing a Rock-Pop project called "Jamais Vu", with 7 recorded themes.
Continuing with the madness full of music, searching mas there of the sound, thinking over especially what the guitar can manage to give me. Sailing along the desert I observe the small details that happen to us unnoticed day after day. To return to begin, to be able to correct and probably change. The music is the universal language, between the sun and the moon they dance the stars forming chords...
