MySpace Slideshow Upload Photos MySpace Comment Box MySpace Icons MySpace CommentsSince always into electronic music, in 1997 dj Phobos started listening to psy-trance, going to parties and festivals all around Europe.As a dj he has played in many parties in Italy, spain, slovenia and austria together with artists of international fame in the world of trance, such as Menog, Spectra, Audialize, Bamboo Forest, Kindzadza, Perplex, Space Cat, Species, Shagma, Phatmatix, Para Halu, Derango, Yab-Yum, Shotu, Rastaliens, Braincell and others. From the point of view of his musical choice, he doesn’t like sticking to just one style of psy-trance, but he prefers to adapt his set to the hour, the people and the situation he finds himself in, taking always special care of the mixing. When playing during the night hours, he usually offers a full-on underground oriented style, with very psychedelic sounds which try not to degenerate into maddening noise or too dark influences; in the morning hour he will more likely choose to play full-on or neo full-on, trying to remain within the borders of psychedelics but with softer sounds, more suited for the light. Anyway he would rather play at dawn, according to him the most suitable moment of the day to enjoy his best sets.With the project “Chaotic Waves” he has organized many parties (mainly illegal) in the north of Italy, and with “Soundsplatters” he has collaborated in the creation of a few big festivals in Milan, attended by thousands of people.Last year he has also entered the project “Looney Moon”, which takes care of the organization of parties and of the spreading of psychedelic culture in the whole of Italy and mainly in the Turin area.This year Looney Moon Records will start its productions.Each Friday, together with Dj Face (Soundsplatters), he broadcasts on Radio Onda d’Urto “Brain Splatters”, a radio program dedicated to psy-trance music and culture.
