Killer B (Ben) presents a truly intelligent underground sound drawing influences from various genre’s in his psychedelic trance sets, focusing on tight beats, twisted vibes and profound bass lines. His quality of mixing and up for it vibe creates an energetic impression on the dancefloor, which makes him the most sought after underground DJ in Johannesburg in the psy scene.
Being versatile and professional has ensured him bookings since 2000 for all the underground organizations including, Nano - EathDance, Mushroom Mafia, Red Eye Productions, FU CHA Gatherings, Trans Sky, Lunartech, BlackFoot, BearTrap & Groovy Troopers in Cape Town as well as Vortex. Clubs played at include the legendary techno club G.A.S.S with Alan Inferno, Organafix in Cape Town, One77, Submission, Carfax, Fusion In Jo'burg and a resident dj at Teknotribe and are the ones worth mentioning.
The international recognized artists he has played along side include Cosmosis, PainKiller, CPU, Dave The Drummer, Chris Lieberator, Broken Toy, Shift, Artifakt, Commercial Hippies, Hydrophonic, HydraGlyph, Multistate, Lost & Found, to name a few.
Through a passion for psy trance, Killer B started Red Eye Productions, which is well known in South Africa for leading the psy scene in Gauteng by promoting artists and hosting monthly indoor and outdoor events.
He started producing underground dance tracks in 2000 (currently has 9 releases signed), ranging from techno to psy trance. His first success was his vinyl release "Minimal Thoughts" which is signed to the Belgium label Start Stop Records which went onto 2 mixed CD's. He then went on to release 3 tracks with Mushroom Mafia Records as Killer B and the alias Amoeba, with Sense and Insaneacyde forming part of the production unit.
With a growing artist base of talented producers emerging from Red Eye Productions, Amoeba Records was launched to bring their unique African style of psy on the international market. Amoeba Records has 5 releases, that includes Insaneacydes album plus Interceptor, First Light, Psyanide and Bundu Bashers compiled by Killer B.
