Lt. Watada perceives the reality of an illegal war.
The idea of being segregated or desegregated, as it applies to the American society, is a fleeting illusion, because either way we will never be equal in nature. It is a natural fact that we, the Kemetians, are dominant in our makeup, ie DNA, which causes us to be overachievers in everything that we choose to focus on whether good or bad. As a result we are praised in the society whether in sports, entertainment, academics, etc.
To speak of freedom as something that can be granted is totally absurd. It is by our very existence we are set toward peace and harmony. The only thing that hinders that is disturbance because when our peace is disturbed we tend to be disagreeable and disalluded. So when you say we fought for freedom...from whom and from where? Where there are consequences, there can be no freedom, moreover, there is a cost to everything, including breathing. You breathe in oxygen which is necessary for life, yet breathe out carbon dioxide which is a poison for us which in turn is taken in by plants through the process of photosynthesis to create oxygen yet again. Everything is relative. This is total balance, cause and effect.
Peace and harmony are the keys to progress within any societal makeup. Those are the only two intangibles that can be truly achieved more so than equality, liberty, justice, freedom, independence, etc., because these concepts were written in the constitution only to deceive. Therefore you will find yourself asking and begging those in power for something they can't render unto you. For they themselves are not free because such a concept does not exist, not even in the heavens.
Some believe there is a heaven and a hell, however in each of these "places" whom will you serve...self? On earth, who are you serving? What are laws for? Why is the world so chaotic despite the laws? I believe that because of this thing called "government" (or organization) which leads some people to believe they are free to do as they please. So therefore when one comes to correct what they perceive to be right, there is conflict. The people who are being corrected feels the need to exercise their so-called freedom. This compromises the ability to logically reason. Remember reality is greater than opinions, facts, or truths---any of these things can be changed with new discoveries or observations while reality remains constant and immutable. Anyone who fights for freedom fights a vain fight.

The House is B-U-R-N-I-N-G! "...Belafonte recalled some of King’s last words to him: “‘I sit here deeply concerned that I suspect we’re leading our nation on an integration trip that has us integrating into a burning house.’†Belafonte added, “I don’t think we quite understood how prophetic that remark was.â€
