About Me
Mona, born and raised mostly in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has lived in places such as Compton, California, small town Swansboro, North Carolina, and Kissimmee, Florida. She sings a wide variety of music ranging from R&B, Soul, Hip Hop, Gospel and Jazz. It has been said that Mona has "the voice of an angel". She's been described as a vocalist that will "drawl you in and not let you go". Her voice has been defined as smooth, sultry and sweet. She's been referred to as a "true born star", granting her the name "The Songstress".This solo artist, at almost any given time, can be found in the studio. She's always looking to collaborate with other aspiring artists. Currently, she is working on a mixtape to be "Unleashed" sometime before the end of 2007 and finishing up an album entitled, "More Than Romance", to be released Friday, June 13th, 2008.As a child, Mona had a congenial life. From the time she could talk, she had a passion for music. Growing up, she was always in all of the school plays and talent shows. However, at the age of 15, Mona moved out to live on her own. And as times got real, she realized that music was the only way she would stay sane. Turning her thoughts and experiences into a true form of art. She went from writing poems and short stories, to writing songs and music. Mona then discovered that this was her true calling. Still, at such a young age, staying busy striving to support herself, she still wasn't yet able to take her talent as seriously as she would've liked to. But over time, with more and more motivation from the few sincere people in her life, she was able to become more determined.Now, more than stable, Mona is officially focused. Aside from being focused on her escalating career in the real estate industry, she continues to be unyielding when it comes to her singing career. Many look forward to the release of Mona's debut album, "More Than Romance". Her seductive, angelic and abundant voice is compelling enough to keep fans listening. If not already, it will soon be apparent that Mona carries the voice of a true Songstress.
