The response from the fans was overwhelming and further reassured Bubz that this was his calling in life. After losing his mother at the age of 17 Bubz really began to try and establish himself as one of the elite in Pittsburgh and develop his unique style and delivery. Ikey could be seen walking through the corridors of Schenley High School spitten a freshly written verse or freestyling to a beat that only he heard. Around this time he began to collaborate with local talent featuring on "Blood Cousins" with Gizzy and the "Free Flayme Mixtape." He has worked with some of Pittsburgh best talent including: Owey, F-block, Gizzy, Young Flayme, Diesel of HardHead Records, and Fast Eddie PRODUCTIONS and Many Many more to come.
