About Me

Hi, I"m Deck,Happily married to Emma, with kids, Olly,Jimmy & Lizzy.I love my family very much.Our family encompasses,English, Irish,Jamacian,people from "darn sarf", & people from "up norf".I am self-employed as a general handyman, doing plastering,joinery,kitchen fitting,& general household improvements/repairs.In my spare time i"m the front-man for Rockabilly/RnR band www.rocket-88.co.uk Rocket-88 .................Sorry,not much happening at the moment. Steve (Double-bass),left R88. We wish Steve every success with any future venture. We"ve bought another double-bass, but it needs some fixing up (snapped neck & no tailpiece). When thats done we"ll be rehearsing in the studio again, & hopefully gigging ASAP.Deck,xxx Oh! PS I"m friends with Sean of local band WKD , & i know Dave of Magnetic Jellyfish. Here we go.Obviously Rockabilly n 50s RnR.Restless,Stray Cats,King Kurt,Crazy Cavan & the Rhythm Rockers,Polecats,The Elvis Man,Johnny Burnette & the Rock n Roll Trio,old blues (john lee hooker etc),Louis Jordan ,The Five Keys,Frank Sinatra ,60s stuff,classic rock,doo-wop,swing,punk,ska,70s glam,watchin live bands............................Rave,hardcore,modern so called rnb isnt music,so there.

Movies:

I dont watch many films. Forrest Gump is ace.Anything with Jack Nicolson in. I like When Harry Met Sally,but dont tell anyone. I like films based on true,real,events , like "Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind", films with Santa in. Yeah , Santas ace.He visited my house this year. Santa is brill, top bloke.He left loadsa stuff.The kids won"t believe , Me n Emma bought em nowt !

Yes .Lots.Books are brill.Books are brain food, music is soul food. Just finished Richard Dawkins,"The God Delusion".I"m half way through,"Moondust", a study of the astronauts who set foot on the Moon.Jeremy Clarkson , Well, he"s a bit oppionated but i like reading his stuff (& they"re cheap in Tesco).

Heroes:

ME!Homer Simpson.Anyone who is brave enough to get up onstage and play LIVE music.Any old dude who was brave enough to fight in any war (it would of scared the crap outa me).Plus my Dad.Hes never spoke of the war,but my uncle recently told me what he got up to,top man ! .My Mum.The Mrs, cuz she puts up with me.Anti-heroes.....lying politicians .
