The Old God Is Dead (TOGID) was initially formed in the summer of 2003. The band was started to have fun, kill time and rock some local house shows near the Syracuse University campus. Slowly things progressed after a few member changes and gaining members of Ex-Syracuse bands. Togid built up a strong local following and recorded 2 ep's on 118 records. While drawing influences such as Deadguy, Creation is Crucifixion, 7 Angels 7 Plagues, ZAO, Every Time I die, All Else Failed, and many others; the band progressed with a hard, in you face attitude that you would want to ballroom dance or leap-frog to. Consisting of Josh Desantis on vocals, Steve Port on guitar, Tom Crippen guitar, Ryan Thurston on bass, Ian on drums, and Justin Barrett as glorified manager / bodyguard / fireworks specialist; Togid continues to spread their music and have a damn good time doing it.
