It has been a dream of mine for several years now to attempt and fuse JAZZ and PUNK together into one new style of music. The idea is fairly simple - the song structure and melodic composition of jazz music, mixed with the attitude and raw energy of punk music.
It makes sense that the two are joined together - both genres were sparked by revolutions that ended up having a great impact on the world, therefor both were created under the same circumstances.
Needless to say, since the jazz element is there, there is bound to be long drawn out improvized section - that when taken live will probably last much longer than the recordings I will be putting up here.
Enjoy? I invision that serious jazz connaisseurs will be turned on to the fury of punk music, and punk kids will be able to appreciate the complicated melodies and chordal voicings of jazz music.
