MetallicatZ consist of band members from: TURDUS MUSICUS/ROCKET BOYZ (Finn 'Hetfield' Fodstad). - ROCKET BOYZ/TALIBAN AIRWAYS ('Lars' Morten Hoyning) - ROCKET BOYZ (Alex 'Burton' Rydland). - and HANGFACE (Daggi 'Kirk' Helling)
Eventhough all the members of MetallicatZ, are busy with their own projects, and Daggi/Hangface being based in Los Angeles, (check out their repspective bands below), - getting together once in a while - to tear it up, and pay respect to the legacy of METALLICA, is a fresh breath of air for all of the guys
The guys wanted to celebrate the release of 'St.Anger' in June 2003. The idea of putting together a fullblown Two Hour++ Metallica Show, was hatched - after consuming gallons of beer at 'Blaa Rock Cafe' in Tromso, prior to the release date of 'St.Anger'.
The band contacted Universal Music Norway, and told them about the project. They loved the idea. Universal hooked the guys up with 'St.Anger' DVD/CD's give aways, and promo material for the release party. The result; a sold out 'Driv', on the actual European Release Date, in Tromso/Norway. - MetallicatZ was born.
Quote, Finn 'Hetfield': "We all knew that we were huge Metallica fans. But we didn't realize, that we all knew how to play ALL their songs, backwards in our sleep. It was just ment to be" Unquote.
