Wouldn't it be nice . .. .

About Me

Autumn is officially here with cooler, shorter days and early turning leaves. Baseball season is winding down and it looks as though the Yankees will be in the AL playoffs for the 13th year in a row.
My wife Sandra is working full time as an RN after a 3 year nursing school adventure.
Scotty is playing his first year of youth football and loves it. He's a lineman and is learning to hit HARD. See My Blog above for more details.
As for me . . . I am a left handed, guitar playing, burned out, retired lawyer, who is steadfastly devoted to the sometimes struggling New York Yankees living in astoundingly beautiful Sedona, Arizona

with Sandra, my very attractive wife of almost 6 years and my 10.5 year old son, Scotty along with two dogs, (Buddy & Pal). My 19 year old bonus son Michael is a sophomore at Arizona State University. Marisa,my 25 year old daughter lives in Tempe and works for a bank.
Besides being a husband, father and son, I'm also a Cub Scout Den leader, Catholic Youth Educator, substitute high school teacher and little league coach.
Here are a couple of slide shows of my family.
Here are some pictures from our week at Oceanside, CA.

My Interests

Music. Specifically Classic Rock, Blues, Classical Baroque and some Christian Rock.
The electric guitar holds a mysteriously strong fascination for me and has ever since I first laid my 4 year old eyes on an older cousin's beautiful sunburst archtop. . .
. . .back in the mid 50's. I play them, as often as I can. I collect them and I regularly covet them on the internet and in music stores.
I have 10 in all - 3 Strats, 2 Teles, a vintage '69 Gibson SG, an Epiphone Emperor and a Dot 335 along with 2 acoustic numbers. And I'm already planning my next acquisition.
I also have a great interest in automobiles, road racing and drag racing (as a fan). I've owned a few in my day and I recently acquired an '07 Chrysler Aspen with a Hemi. It rocks, but I'm still hoping for at least one more sports car before I depart this planet.
My third but certainly not final interest is in things nostalgic, especially from the 40's, 50's and 60's. I love the cars, the music, the fashions, the advertisements, the food and even the almost naive hope for the future coupled with the very real fear of an impending nuclear holocaust. I like to collect items that either come from those years or are very good, accurate reproductions.
I also enjoy a good cigar, a spellbinding book, a meaningful movie, going to a major league baseball game on a Sunday afternoon, travel, shopping, surfing the internet for a deal and vintage pin-up art,
Then there's baseball, specifically Yankee baseball
a team I have followed since my youth.

I'm also woefully addicted to the internet and this My Space thing!

I'd like to meet:

Any esteemed individuals who do not think too highly of themselves, but especially musicians, with similar tastes and interests along with my favorite celebrities.
I'd prefer NOT to meet:
Bands and musicians that do not play music I like, spammers, women & girls looking for a mate or a date and people living in another reality.
I am especially grateful for My Space family and friends like my children Marisa and Michael and brother-in-law Tod and of course my wife for life Sandra. I am also adding (collecting?) "friends" who represent the cream of classic rock, blues, other music genres and film.
I've also found or been added as a friend by some wonderfully creative new bands and musicians.
On a grander scale, a few of the people I would like to have met but who have regretfully departed this world are Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ,
Pope John Paul II,
St. Augustine of Hippo,
Winston Churchill,

Benjamin Franklin, JFK, my paternal Grandfather John Moker and a few others. On the same scale of grandiosity but still (mostly) alive. . .
Keith Richards,
Eric Clapton,
The Dalai Lama
and Al Pacino.
Now that's a strange combination of prominent good souls.

Music:

First and most assuredly foremost, The Rolling Stones,

I also enjoy Frank Sinatra, Big Band Music, Dixieland Jazz, but nix to Country & Western
save for a few of the old timers like Hank Williams or Johnny Cash.
Here are just a few of my favorite albums.
