Officer Voodoo

Death--the last sleep? No, it is the final awakening.

About Me

I am most often referred to as Officer Voodoo or the Spooky F*%$ and have been a Police Officer in NJ for the past 22 years. I do respect all religions and their gods and I hope you see I try to approach everything in a non-biased manner.
Because of my fascination with subcultures I have been following the gothic and vampyre subcultures for the past 24 years (being part of it in the early 80's). I am a student of the occult sciences for over 16 years and because of this in-depth training I have become an occult specialist. I have studied with High Priests in Wicca, Santeria, Palo Mayombe, Shamanism, Egyptian, the Cabalistic arts, the dark arts and the Druid and Celtic ways. Because of this knowledge I have written and published numerous police/ occult crime articles and lecture throughout the tri-state area and have handled many criminal cases involving the occult. I have appeared on WB11’s Haunted New York and have been written about by the Bergen Record and the BBC.
Above all I try to give officers and people attending the lectures an awareness of the groups out there and to hopefully start some religious tolerance by taking a serious and humorous look at things. We are in a time were knee jerk reactions should no longer exist and people should accept these groups and their beliefs for what they are. On a serious note, there are many paths to the great sprit, god or god and goddess.
The religious beliefs of an investigator any investigator, should provide spiritual strength and support for them, but not affect the objectivity and professionalism of the investigation.
I have also found this similar attitude with a lot of ghost hunting groups. Some groups also discriminate against people because of their religious belief system and refuse to work with them because of a PAGAN title. Many are also way too uptight… It is sad to say but many cases are overly influenced by a group's personal religious beliefs and their uptight egos.
Happily happily married 20 years to a great and beautiful woman and have 4 great boys.. I am currently A culinary student here in NJ and I hope to pursue a new career as a Chef when I retire in 27 months, but who's counting ... Hummmm Chef Voodoo... Has a nice ring. I would like to move into holistic and natural foods. Be warned I am a flirt!
Let GothickAngel give you a new myspace look she did me and you should let her do you too before I send a spell or ghostie your way maybe even a bad dinner, let hope not for that one… HA!
