Myspace BackgroundsThe DnA Project was formed in early 2006 as a duo project between Al and David. In May of 2007, The DnA Project added a third member to the band to round out the sound, Major Mathers (Charlie). Though four made the nice even number, with Nick joining up on drums, the band is now complete. Each member brings something of their own to TDP, and whatever it is they create musically, you can be sure its something all their own. Their sound has taken on a life of its own, and they are having a blast walking down this unknown road to whatever awaits on the other side.
As the name may suggest, while The DnA Project may change to a degree memberwise, the band will always consist of Dave and Al, otherwise it isn't DnA.
Starting out as a studio band, TDP will slowly begin to make their way into live performances come 2008. The four crazy asses from PA want to finish their first CD, Tunes From The Gene Pool, and then tour de force the local area.
The project formed after nearly seven hours of non stop jamming, when Al and David decided to give it all a try.
While they all have day jobs and (in some members cases anyway) families, DNA looks to take their music and share it with the entire world if it'll listen :)
Musical influences are extremely varied, from classic bands like The Beatles and Led Zepplin, to modern day influences like Billy Joel, Alice in Chains, Sublime, to name a few. Their music is something of their own, and they all love it that way.
UPDATE: June 2008:
We've just about finalized the track list for Tunes From the Gene Pool. This is our first studio album release. We've had a hard time picking from the many originals we've written in the past year, and now its a simple matter of making them a perfection in post editing. Keep your eyes to August, and the announcements that will be trickling out between now and then ;) also, we'll be going viral in the way only we can pull off right. This will be going hand in hand with the album release, and is really going to blow your minds. This is an incredibly exciting time for us, and for lack of words, we're so fuckin stoked!
Want to email the band directly?! You can email us at [email protected] , we will try and respond to every single email as possible. If you have any 'business' related questions you may message us here and we will arrange more private channels (we hate spam, sorry)
We again, can not thank all of our friends and fans for the love y'all have been giving us! As we make our steady climb, slowly corrupting the ears of the world with lustfully dripping musical impulses, we'll never forget that each and every one of YOU are the reason we do this in the first place.
TDP is now featured on Garageband.com!!! Check it out!
ALSO! CHECK IT OUT! We have yet another avenue you can follow to hear more of our songs! Stroll on over to http://www.musicv2.com/artist/the_dna_project to hear even more of our songs. These are some of our oldest/rare recordings, in rougher forms. Who knows when they'll see the blessings of our studio touches ;) But its a good look at what we can do in the musical raw.

We will be including even more music for you to listen to there as well. As always, JAM ON!
