About Me

not a lot of people know this, but when i was a kid, i co-starred in an episode of Happy Days on TV. it was the episode where Richie talks the Fonz into becoming a Big Brother. i bet you think i'm going to say that i was the kid who played the Fonz's Little Brother, right? well no, i wasn't. that kid was black and had a killer 'fro, and i'm not black. i played Potsie Webber's Little Brother; my name was Eddie. hanging out with Potsie was pretty cool. i mean, yeah, he was kind of dumb and all, but we went to shoot pool, and he would take me to Arnold's, and sometimes we hung out with Ralph Malph and his Little Brother named Dennis. one time the four of us had this incredible spaghetti eating contest, which Potsie won. i was so proud of my Big Brother that day! unfortunately, the spaghetti eating contest never made it to the air, because it was the same weekend that the Fonz jumped a shark on a pair of water skis. another thing that never made it to the air was when Dennis died. we had been out to eat at this other drive in, and Dennis had a severe reaction to something he ate, and it wound up messing up his liver and killing him. unfortunately, again, they didn't use any of that touching material in the episode that week, because it got overshadowed by Richie's dilemma over whether or not he should expose a big story in the school newspaper on how the high school coach was using non-federally approved tires for his team to do football drills. i have to say though that those times were really fun and good. like the song says, "these days are ours, share in them with me!" oh, and do you remember Al? he molested children in the breakroom of Arnold's. how crazy is that?

My Interests

i don't think i've changed this in about 3 years, so here goes: i'm interested in music, writing, food, going to bookstores/cafes and coffeeshops and thrift stores, sports, outdoorsy stuff, and i like cheese a lot. i'm not really into a lot of odd and crazy cheeses, like the kinds with port wine stripes or blue veins of moldy shit in them, but i sure do eat a lot of cheese. i love mexican food, and i really like las vegas. i like being on a plane. maybe that's not really an interest. i like getting mail; i'm interested in that. i like writing real letters while sipping coffee. i like newspapers, the beach in the off season, cheap clothes, the Pita Pit, my job, and um... coffee.

grounded for life, family guy, iron chef america, pretty much anything on discovery channel, seinfeld, king of queens, simpsons... god damn do i love cable tv. seriously.

Books:

the top one is siddhartha. i like bukowski, some of the old british poets (wordsworth, byron, keats, the shelleys), some contemporary american poets. bastard out of carolina (dorothy allison) was really good and disturbing. julio cortazar's short stories are always fun to read and are amazingly well crafted. BUY MY CHAPBOOK!!!
