Ancient history and legends; writing music for films & TV; editing video; researching material for books but not actually writing the damn things as that is hard work.
I suppose I am best known for upsetting the applecart by proposing a New Chronology for the ancient world which has been published in the 'A Test of Time' series of books and in the TV documentary series 'Pharaohs and Kings'.
The best discussion group for criticising, debating and adding further research to the New Chronology is:

God (she sounds like an interesting person) - but not for a while yet eh!
Favourite artists include: Peter Gabriel, Barclay James Harvest, Josh Groban (amazing voice), Kate Bush and, of course, the Beatles.
Favourite composers include: Richard Strauss, Stravinsky, Beethoven and Hans Zimmer.
Here are a few tracks that I am working on with friends or which I have recently done for TV.
The first three are early stage backing tracks for the next Mandalaband album (the first in thirty years!). So far the only two musos who have laid down parts are Kim Turner (drums, percussion and acoustic guitar) and me (the rest of the noises on the tracks). Even though there are no melodies (as such) or vocals at this stage, I thought you might enjoy them.
The rest are things I did for TV (including a couple of themes from the 'In Search of Eden' programme which I presented for TLC and Discovery Channel).

Here is some earlier stuff from the 1970s with two tracks from the Mandalaband II Eye of Wendor album and then part of the original Mandalaband I album (a neat guitar solo from Ashley Mulford which makes up Part Four of the Om Mani Padme Hum choral piece). Track 2 here is sung by Justin Hayward, whilst the guys in Mandalaband I went on to become Sad Cafe.

For a potted history of Mandalaband take a look at the band biography written by Keith Domone at:

I added the following song video especially for Cami at Stretch Productions in Texas just to show her what our Brit kids can do. She keeps asking me for back-catalogue songs for her talented stage-show kids in the US but I don't do commercial. So, Cami, this is the best I can manage. The song 'Peace on Earth' was written by myself and Cathy Feeney and recorded at Air Studios in London for the EducAid (BandAid) Trust. I'm full of surprises aren't I? The kids (now adults) sang beautifully and, although the single bombed, it deserves to be heard if only to appreciate their angelic voices. I know it's not exactly Christmas at the moment and this is a Christmas song from 1985 but, hey, Jesus was born in Spring and not on the 25th December (actually a Roman pagan festival celebrating the rebirth of the year)! So, dated lyrics aside ('no star wars', Haley's Comet = Star of Bethlehem, etc), I hope you enjoy this happy little piece of lost musical history.

As you might expect: Lord of the Rings, Troy (allowing for the rewriting of Homer), Kingdom of Heaven and Gladiator.
Michael Wood's In Search of the Trojan War, Ally McBeal, Stargate SG, West Wing and Babylon 5.
I've been involved in a fair few TV programmes in my time, some as Presenter, others as an interviewee. The original 'Pharaohs and Kings' three-part series for Channel Four in the UK and TLC/Discovery in the USA did not make it onto DVD format, but 'In Search of Eden' was on DVD and may still be available somewhere.
A few years ago I went over to the USA to do a series of lectures on the New Chronology and the Bible entitled 'The Bible - Myth or History?'. The Florida session was filmed and edited by Stretch Productions. The two-DVD set of three lectures is available at the Stretch MySpace site:

During the late 1990s and early years of the new millennium I led a series of nine expeditions into Egypt's Eastern Desert between the Nile and Red Sea. The purpose of the Eastern Desert Survey was to record the thousands of predynastic and pharaonic rock art sites in the wadis of this unexplored desert. Not only did the team discover wonderful prehistoric art and hundreds of images of boats (in the desert!) but we also found the world's oldest maps (by 2000 years) carved on rocks to guide desert travellers through the maze of canyons. The video clip below will give you a flavour of what these missions were all about.
