I love creating beautiful things. At heart, I'm a visual designer, and I like working in the print, video, and web media, though I am most comfortable with the web. My feeling is that design can do wonders if you let it. Case in point, a good design should do a good job communicating the point you want to make, and a bad design will get in the way of that.
When I'm not working, I like movies - mostly good dramas, documentaries, and the occasional romantic comedy if it's not too sappy. Most of all, I love curling up with a good book and a cup of hot cocoa on a rainy Sunday, and being able to forget about work. What kind of book? Well, I like biographies of interesting, influential people (Ted Koppel, Barak Obama, Michael Korda, Linda Ellerbee are some examples), books on the state of the world (for example, The World is Flat, Freakonomics, and Lattitudes and Longitudes), and American short stories.
