Nathan Morello

Nathan Morello è un ammaliante showman, abile saltimbanco d’atmosfere musicali. Ha la classe di uno “stilosissimo” picciotto della Chicago anni ’30 e le movenze di un ballerino di Broadway. La sua grinta e la carismatica versatilità fanno di lui un vero animale da palcoscenico.
Nathan Morello non è però un cantante solista ma il volto di un progetto a sei mani, in cui ogni componente è parte integrante del processo creativo: Umberto Bistagnino, Matteo Castellan e Nathan Morello sono gli autori di tutti i testi e di tutte le musiche.
Il progetto nasce artisticamente nel 2004 da un’idea di Umberto Bistagnino, Matteo Castellan (produttori artistici ed esecutivi del progetto) e Nathan Morello stesso. I tre scrivono numerosi pezzi e si fanno subito notare dalla critica e dagli addetti ai lavori vincendo il primo premio del concorso per la canzone d’autore della città di Olbia ”Sonorità elettive” col brano ”Non pensare alle Sciocchezze dell’amore”. A metà strada fra il funk e il latin il sound di Nathan Morello ha sangue caliente con forti contaminazioni caraibiche e venature swing.
Il disco d’esordio ”Gazpacho&gelosia”, su etichetta ConcertOne e distribuito da Edel, è in vendita su Itunes,nei punti vendita fnac e feltrinelli e in vari negozi multimediali. La produzione artistica ed esecutiva è di Matteo Castellan e Umberto Bistagnino, responsabile anche del management e del ”brand” Nathan Morello. Il disco è stato arrangiato, registrato e mixato da Matteo Castellan all’Underdog Studio di Torino; mastering di Claudio Giussani – Nautilus studio (Milano). Testi e musiche sono di n.morello/m.castellan/u.bistagnino.

ABOUT NATHAN MORELLO:
Nathan Morello is an enchanting performer, an acrobat of musical atmospheres. With the style of an elegant “picciotto” from the ‘30s, he moves like a Broadway dancer sparkling his performances with the charisma of a natural born showman.
But Nathan Morello is not just a singer. Behind him there is a larger project planned together with his two associates, Umberto Bistagnino, Matteo Castellan, all three of them essential to the creative process of the music and the lyrics they write together.
The artistic project dates back to 2004 from an idea of Umberto Bistagnino, Matteo Castellan (artistic and executive producers) and Nathan Morello himself. They wrote several songs together and immediately encountered a favorable reply from critics and music insiders, winning the first prize at Olbia’s Sonorità Elettive: Concorso per la canzone d’autore. Nathan’s caliente sound is halfway between funk and Latin with a tang of Caribbean beat and a hint of swing.
His debut album “gazpacho&gelosia” (ConcertOne music and distribuited by EDEL), is on sale on Itunes and is by now on radio and TV programming. Artistic and executive producers are Matteo Castellan and Umberto Bistagnino, who is also in charge of the management and the Nathan Morello brand name. The album was recorded and arranged by Matteo Castellan at the Underdog Studio in Torino and mastered by Claudio Giussani at Nautilus studio in Milan. Music and lyrics are by N.Morello/M.Castellan/U.Bistagnino.
