Michael Nitsch was born in Cologne, Germany on January 28th, 1965.
He picked up the guitar at age 12 when his father Wolfgang Nitsch taught him
the first chords.
Shortly after this he got hand on a B.B.King record. "The thrill is gone" was definitely the starting point to take an in depth look at this beautiful music-the BLUES. At age 16 he founded his first Bluesband.
Then came the time when he was fascinated by players like George Benson, Joe Pass and Wes Montgomery. What a rude awakening!
He just couldn't wait to go to" Guitar-School" and studied Jazzguitar at
the "MGI", Cologne.
Until today he is working and touring with his Trio, the MICHAEL NITSCH BAND.
His greatest influence and also a revelation to him is Robben Ford.
