About Me
Let, Lo-fi missing, was born in 1979 in a little town in Sicily. After he finished the main school, playing rock from a band to another in his city, he decided to move to Rome. Here he had jazz guitar lessons for 4 years, following his real passion: the music. Even if he played rock, he listened to very experimental bands' music too, which were using the first electro sounds in rock songs (Braniac, Trans am) and so he discovered the best mix of both in the electroclash and at the same time his love of staying in front of a console (he bought the first one instead of a normal hi-fi, because he thought it was more useful). During this period he recorded two mixed cds: “Glamour†L.W. 2003 e “When my love is sick (of me)†L.W. 2004, searching the newest electro beat in labels such as: Gigolò, Turbo, and K7. At the same time he moved to Montreal for a period of time to feel the movement he was in love with, closer to himself. At a famous “I love neon†party in blvd St. Laurent he realized the sound was changing again, no excess, just the essential, less noise and more beat. It is from this experience that he thought about "Lophophora Williams", his own label recording project that, waiting just for the right moment to become a truth, brought him to look farther. Now the performance sounds like a trip exploring the minimal techno sound (Swayzak, Bucci, Johnson, Mayer, Plastikman), going through the most plastic electro (Trentemoller, Meatrik, Schneider, Dj T, The soft pink truth), without excluding great labels such as: Intelligence, Do.mi.no, P.I.A.S., Wavetec, Ork. It is a progression towards an always more present beat; a dark rhythm coming up slowly and reclaiming its everlasting existence.
