Existed from 1984-1986.
After High school,Scott Thompson and Chris Gaffney decided to start a band and write their own songs, only neither knew how to play instruments.Scott borrowed a bass and with a casio keyboard providing the beat began playing Louie Louie, with Chris yelling the Stooges version of the lyrics.
They soon met 13 year old skater Billy Dolan thru his 'zine Red Pop and discovered he played guitar.Scott and Billy began to play together, developing a few riffs.
Chris began pestering his friend Stu Patterson to play drums, who reluctantly agreed, mainly to shut Chris up.
They practiced and wrote a batch of sons, then recorded a 4 track tape with friend Matt Allison overseeing.
It was assumed that would be the end of it, until Billy landed a show at a local teen club called The 229 Club.
They played there several times, opening for Die Kruezen and on their own ,causing a sensation among Rockford teens due to their fast and memorable tunes as well as Chris' (now known as Buzzsaw) confrontational stage persona.
The shows were chaotic affairs with cake being thrown at the band, mannequins onstage, kids slamming and lots of verbal and phyisical abuse between Buzzsaw and the audience.
Stu quit after Buzzsaw got punched out opening for the Decendents, thus ending the band....for the time being.
About a year later somehow Kevin Hutchins contacted them and they had a new drummer. They practiced often (which was a new thing, the 1st line up never practiced) and wrote and recorded a batch of new songs. They played exactly 1 show at Rotation Station.
