Diego Aurelio Catalan (known as Jim A. Wilson to most) is a musician in Athens, GA. Though he’s known best for playing drums and percussion with bands Mother Jackson, GOAT,
Garbage Island, H.E.A.P., Echo Canyon, Bo Freeze, Big Exploitation, Enter: The Panda, Honey, and Madeline.
Jim has recently started bringing out a guitar to perform as--yes--Diego Catalan.
On this page, I’ll keep y’all posted on which band is playing when and where and I’ll also rotate the tunes frequently so hopefully you can catch a little of everything.
A little about the songs on here now. "Lucky Punk" was recorded at Chase Park Transduction and will appear on Mother Jackson’s upcoming release, Soundtrack to Your Damnation. "Seasonal Confession" came about from words and music delivered in the form of three random napkin letters courtesy of my good friend Olivia Locke. It was fun putting them together and having them result in this tune. I recorded "Used Your Head" with Mother Jackson on our first record, Suck On This. In this version, you’re hearing slapped down dude and a guitar using Garage Band whatever the shit it’s called, with the help of good friend Mr. Kyle Harris. We did the music at The Minx and part of the vocals at The Flicker on a Sunday. Dead at the Flicker. "Break your Face in Two" is a new song. I had to go to court recently. It was early in the morning. Nothing happened. I ate a biscuit. I went home. I couldn’t get back to sleep. I was thinking about the world and the way "we" work it. I was pissed.
It made me want to strip the foundation like a tablecloth of magic and yes: break the face in two.
