I've loved dance music and DJ'ing since I first saw a live DJ at a Junior High School Dance and bought my first mixtape at a record store on 86th street in my old Neighborhood of Bensonhurst Brooklyn. I would listen to all types of Mix Show DJ's on the Radio Like Red Alert, Marly Marl, Jellybean Benitez, Scott Blackwell, Little Louie Vega and others. I would Listen to the shows write down the names of the songs and try to buy the records. I remember sneaking out of the house and taking the Subway into the City to go to Clubs Like The Underground. Heartthrob and Studio 54 to hear DJ's Jose Animal Diaz and Louie Vega spin, I would find a spot where I can see the booth and watch them work. I saved my money from part time jobs at a Pizzeria and Carvel to buy Turntables and a mixer. Then I started playing music for anyone who would listen. Birthdays, Christmas whatever the event I was there with my turntables and my records . I played Hip hop reggae and freestyle. Eventually, I was spending most of my free time at record stores like Vinylmania, Rock & Soul and downtown records hearing stories about Larry Levan at the paradise Garage and House music. I then Started Listening to Tony Humphries master mix radio show and house music became my favorite. I've been lucky to live in NYC, because of that I've been able to be part of the underground house music scene & buy and collect thousands of records which remain my prized possessions. I've had the opportunity to experience clubs & DJs like: David Morales, Junior Vasquez, Louie Vega, Roger Sanchez, Frankie Knuckles,Danny Krivit Timmy Regisford, Dj Disciple,Lord G, Erick Morillo and Danny Teneglia among others at Clubs like Red Zone, Sound Factory,Cafe con Leche, Sound Factory Bar, Octogon, Palladium,Tunnel, Shelter, Vinyl, Centro-Fly Cielo etc Although I was never able to reach my dream of making a living as a DJ, I was the resident DJ at Jeckyl & Hyde on 7th Ave, from 2000 to 2001 where I played an open format of house, hip hop & reggae. Since then I've played at different parties at Sin Sin, Leopard Lounge, Luv 247, Sushi Samba, Rivertown Lounge in Manhattan and various bars & lounges in Brooklyn. Life is good, I have a wonderful beautiful wife (Cathy YOU ARE THE BEST!), a good job, but there is still something missing.
