Really Not so Bassic idea started more as a joke than anything, as an investigation project for the possibilities of Extended range bass, which is basically a bass with more strings than the traditional.
The complete definition of Extended range bass or ERB is thought to be made clear. There are people that consider a 5 string bass to be ERB others will accept just 6+... The most reasonable definition for me is the bass player which is more a musician an less a bass player, the person who wants to trascend, without losing them, the traditional roles and functions of bass within music.
It all started a while ago, with a 4 string and lots of feelings to express inside me, but due to a problem with my computer, I lost nearly all the work. Now, having got myself a new shiny ERB I want to try to recover that material, and perhaps get the full project working, with support musicians or close collaborators.
That Implies that I'm alone and I have no tracks, but that didn't stop me before and it is not going to do it now.
I don't know exactly how frecuent my updates will be, but I will try to start recording something soon.
