About Me

"We believe in the free and responsible search for truth and meaning. We have room for your beliefs – for many diverse beliefs – under the umbrella of our principles and the living tradition that nourishes our spirits. We have room for your individuality, your whole self – brown, gay, spike-haired, lesbian, hetero, bisexual, pink, trans-gendered, questioning, white, longhaired, black, beige, ochre, magenta... (magenta?)"
-- Reverend Buffy Boke
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Peninsula (UUFP) is made up of an eclectic group of individuals and families. We are Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Pagan, Wiccan, Agnostic, Atheist, Humanist...the list goes on.
There are many happenings at our Fellowship. Beyond the Sunday morning services we offer much to inspire your soul.
Check out our: Adult Religious Education during the 9:30 service, Children's Religious Education during the 11:00 service, Young Adults Group, Earth Rising Group, Women's Spiritual Writing Group, Women's Dream Group, Drumming Groups, Meditation Group, Fellowship Circles, or perhaps join the Social Concerns Committee for a movie and discussion.
Our mission is to create a dynamic community that celebrates life and searches for truths. We offer a safe place for spiritual diversity and individual growth through, lifelong religious education and service to the wider community. We honor our Unitarian Universalist principles and heritage.
Our Seven Principles:
- The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
- Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
- Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
- A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
- The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;
- The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
- Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.
