Just saw About A Son - so beautiful and imaginative. I can't get over how amazing this doc was, imagery over a audio interview with Kurt Cobain. Truly inspiring. Every Larry Clark film, where the fuck is Ken Park? I like films with stories about people breaking out of the normal routine of life, rebelling against what they are told they are supposed to be. I like when people push themselves to find out more about themselves. I hate when people accept what is given to them. American Beauty, Almost Famous, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, Trainspotting, Eyes Wide Shut, All Stanley Kubrick really.... Apocolype Now, Willy Wonka, Big Labowski, Over The Edge, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Natural Born Killers, Fight Club. I also love documentaries...Jandek on Corwood, Some Kind of Monster, Paradise Lost, DIG!, Gimmie Shelter, I am Trying To Break Your Heart, Enron, Michael Moore..The Kid Stays In The Picture, The Weather Underground, The Last Waltz, Hearts of Darkness, Crumb, Hype , Oh...American Movie!!And of course, my doc Unsung:Bob and the Monster
New favorite show...Later...with Jolls Holland - Holy Shit! Tell Me You Love Me - Give me more!! Family Guy - fucking hilarious, ruined The Simpsons and South Park for me Real Time with Bill Maher, I still love SNL....my first television job, I'll never desert it. Henry Rollins Show, Dexter...loved that one, Californication - David Duchovney, why don't you love me? Squidbillies, twisted, fucked up show.
Kahlil Gibran / The Prophet, Kurt Vonnegut, Frances Schovel Shinn, Hunter S Thompson, J.D Salinger, Eckart Tolle, William Burroughs, Rock and Roll autobiographies...
