About Me

Cricketer, born in Cantaro, NW Trinidad, West Indies. He came to prominence in the 1994 season, when he broke several cricketing records, scoring seven centuries in eight successive innings, and breaking the world Test record with 375 for the West Indies against England. Six weeks later he became the first batsman to score over 500 runs in one innings in first-class cricket, playing for Warwickshire against Durham. After a slump in form, he burst back to life with three successive centuries against Australia in 1999. He has captained the West Indies three times (1999, 2003–4). He broke the world Test record again in April 2004, scoring 400 runs in a single innings for the West Indies against England. In November 2005, en route to a double century during a Test series against Australia, he notched up another milestone when he became only the second player in Test cricket history to score 11 000 runs.Test: Batting and Fielding M I NO Runs HS Ave SR 100 50 Ct St 131 232 6 11953 400* 52.88 60.50 34 48 164 0 Test:Bowling O M R W Ave BBI 5 10 SR Econ 10 1 28 0 - - 0 0 - 2.80 ODIs:Batting and Fieding M I NO Runs HS Ave SR 100 50 Ct St 290 281 31 10136 169 40.54 79.46 19 62 115 0 ODIs:Bowing O M R W Ave BBI 4w 5w SR Econ 8.1 0 61 4 15.25 2-5 0 0 12.2 7.46
