About Me

The Studio first opened in 1984 on Capp Street in San Francisco with bands such as (The Afflicted) (Speed Racer) (Faith No More) (The Dead Kennedys) (Chris Issacs) (Mentors) (Death Angel) (Verbal Abuse) (Flipper) and Many other San Francisco favorites! We then outgrew Capp street as did our bands (Four Non Blondes) (Third Eye Blind) etc.. etc... We then relocated to Ninth Street in the South of Market area of the City! playing host to bands such as THE BLUES TRAVELER, PRETENDERS, MIDNIGHT OIL, CHEAP TRICK, THE DONNAS and many other major recording artist. Lennon Studios is music people owned and operated: "Jimmy" from Crucifix / Proudflesh & Albino Assassins. "Jeff" of S.T.F.U. & Voetsek. "Kelp Bed" of Verbal Abuse/ Los Cerveceros & Speed Racer and "Alfie" the former owner of the Chatterbox (A Rock Club in the late 80's here in San Francisco) And last but not least! "Carole Lennon" A former Mentors (R.I.P. El Duce) designated tour bus driver who started Capp Street studios, so her two young boys Frankie and Andrew, who were in bands at that time would have a safe and fun place to rehearse.
